The sooner we reach 500, the sooner we get to give some stuff away....OH! Did we forget to mention? For every next 100 we reach on our way to 500 we will be giving away some goodies each time as well!

Merry Christmas ~ Paula Knight Photography

If I have learned one thing, during these tough economic times, everything about business comes down to PEOPLE. Where in business can we escape the impact of human care, human creativity, human commitment, human frustration, and human despair? There is no reason for anything in business to exist if it does not serve the needs of people. I feel truly honored to have been the photographer of your choice and I just want you all to know that meeting you and working with you has been the best part of my year. I have received far more this year than I have given and for that I thank you.

As the year draws to an end and I have time to reflect on the past 12 months, I just wanted to share how very thankful I am to have been given the opportunity to capture so many life-long memories for so many. I look forward to the coming year and the possibilities that it holds.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. ~ Colossians 3:15

Cougar Classic, 5K - Paula Knight Photography

I spent the morning at the 3rd annual Kid's Community College - 5K race. There was music, snow cones, a health expo, yummy pancakes and of course lots of runners! All proceeds go directly to the school to help further the eduction of lots of little people, my son Carter being one of them.

Such a great turn out for such a great cause. I had the pleasure of meeting some really neat people and the opportunity to support my son's charter school, KCC, here in Riverview. I enjoyed being able to talk about what I love the most, taking photographs! I gave away lots of candy treats and signed up some folks for my raffle. I will be giving away 5 free sitting fees. Drawing to be held today and I will be posting the names of the winners very soon! Stay tuned for details.

PK Fantasy Photo is Launched - Paula Knight Photography

Paula Knight Photography is pleased to announce the launch of PK Fantasy Photos. We are now accepting party registrations for September and beyond.

What exactly is a PK Fantasy Photo birthday party?

So glad you asked! A PK Fantasy Photo birthday means we bring our "green screen" backdrop, studio lights and loads of fairy-princess clothes to your child's birthday party. One-by-one your guests are dressed in the fantasy costumes and photographed in front of the "green screen". We then convert those images to make the fairy's "appear" to be in a fantasy land.

Your guests will receive a 5x7 image to keep as a momento of your child's party. What a great way to say thank you for coming. Girls love to see themselves in the finished photo and moms are sure to appreciate the photograph.

PK Fantasy Photos has a party plan to fit any budget. To view pricing details and to see "behind the scenes" photos visit the PK Fantasy Photo link located on our website.

To book a PK Fantasy Photo party, call us now at (813) 300-4501.

Behind The Scenes

Our "Fairy" photo shoot went off without a hitch. We had lots of little girls in our studio and fun was had by all. I've received lots of questions as to "how did you do that". So I thought I would post some behind the scenes photos for you. We dressed the girls in fairy clothes and placed them in varies poses in front of a green screen. In Photoshop the green back ground was removed and the fairy's took their places among scenes in which I created, individually, for each one. Just love these little fairy girls. Many thanks to the proud parents who brought them in. I hope they are as pleased with the outcome as I was.

To schedule your very own "Fantasy" shoot, call us (813) 300-4501! We look forward to bringing your imagination to life.

Before and After's

Now Reon'a was a beautiful girl before we edited the photos from her photo shoot but we wanted to enhance the background colors and smooth out her skin tones. Reon'a is like most teenagers and suffers from a slight acne condition. As you can see in the "after" photo her condition is no longer visible. Editing, such as the kind you see here, is included FREE OF CHARGE with all photos purchased from Paula Knight Photography. Just one more reason to select us for your next photo session. Book your session NOW by calling (813) 300-4501.

Welcome To The World

Had the pleasure of photographing this adorable lil boy. He was so sweet and a natural in front of the lens. Quite the cutie pie and surely the apple of mom and dad's eye. Meet Master Jonah Lucas...

Oh BABY, I'm 1 Year Old!

Had the best time with this adorable lil' one-year old. He did such a great job taking his photos but when it came time to actually "eat" the cake, he really wanted no part of it. I know, I know, you can't tell from the "looks" of it (he had a little help from mom and big sis :) Hope you enjoy these previews as much as I enjoyed taking them!

I can see, I can see!

So dear son number two has been telling me for a year that he can't see very well. Of course I was convinced that he just wanted some uber, cool glasses like his best class mate so, I brushed it off as him wanting the next "best thing". After all, when I was about his age, I tried to convince my own mother that I, too, was in need of glasses (I thought it would be cool to wear them). To this day I have no need for corrective lenses so I was quite certain that my son didn't either. As parents aren't we great at comparing our offspring to ourselves?

While visiting our pediatrician for a routine visit, Carter failed his eye exam. "See Mom, I told you I can't see". Still convinced that he somehow "threw" his eye exam but wanting my son to hear it from a REAL eye-doctor that his eyes were just fine, I scheduled an appointment with the local optometrist for two days later. While speaking with the receptionist I told her my reservations and asked if the doctor could actually tell if my sons eyes were bad or if he was just "faking". She assured me that the doctor would not only be able to tell if he was "faking" but she could tell what type of corrective lenses he would need if glasses were required.

To make a long story short, Carter WAS in need of glasses. I feel rather guilty that he should have been wearing them all along. Another chapter in my should-a, could-a mommy book. Now we have one very happy young man (that can see), $320 less in our bank account and a story that won't soon be forgotten. I have to admit I think he did a great job picking out his frames and I don't think it will take long to get use to his new look.

Clickin' withdrawls.....

So my hubby had to travel out of the country for work and the boys and I have cabin fever...literally, it's like 94 degrees outside! We wanted to go on a little adventure but decide to wait for the sun to start its slow walk towards setting. I load the suburban up with fun-loving boys, 2 cameras and sunglasses and off we go. Riverview has a beautiful little park just minutes from our home, this would be our destination. We know there will be plenty to do and see as Friday's boaters pack it in and call it a day.

It's been 5 days since my last photo shoot and my "clickin" finger is begging for some action. Nothing better than prompt-too photo shoots of my favorite subjects. I stop the car and everyone piles out. Those kids are attracted immediately to the river and my lens follows them where they go. The rest of our night can be told in the photos. I miss my husband but I am thankful for these memories with my boys. Enjoy!

Don't You Know Who That Is?

Had such a great time tonight with Jenette Curtner at her maternity, sun-set, beach photo shoot. As we were wrapping up the shoot people started to stare. I mean, Jenette is a really lovely young lady but these people were REALLLLLY staring. As I walked by them I quipped "don't you know who that is?" (as they were on pins and needles to find out), "no, no, who is it?" my reply, "that's Jenette Curtner". Hey, she will be famous someday.

Thanks, Jenette for such a great photo shoot. Hope you enjoy your pictures and have an easy time with the rest of your pregnancy.

Win a FREE Photo Session...

In an effort to increase my exposure, I'd like to offer a FREE photo session to one lucky winner. For every 100 "likes" our FACEBOOK page receives, we will hold a random drawing of all those that like us. Along with your photo session you will receive a free 8x10 and 2, 5x7 prints. We are located in Riverview so suggest us to people in the Tampa Bay area so if they win they can take advantage of their prize. ;)
